A chapter left unwritten..

Well, it has been a couple months since I have written. Only 5 more days of the quarter and then I am headed home.
What a life changing couple months I have had in St. Louis! Dan proposed to me on October 2! We are planning our wedding for May 11, 2012. So I have been thinking non-stop about wedding things for the past month!
I am taking a leave of absence from grad school. I am not sure when I will finish but I feel as though there are more important priorities in my life right now. Although I am glad I made the move and finished this quarter. No regrets there. God has definitely been at work.

We got our engagement photos this week! They are beautiful!

I will give wedding details next post...

It's almost time...

Well, only 4 days until my big move!
All my stuff is packed up and (sort of) ready to go. I have been procrastinating a lot with my packing.. probably because I am getting very nervous! The thought of so much unknown and so many new people in my life terrifies me! But then I remember why I am going and I know that since God has called me to go to seminary, He will take care of me and put just who I need in my life.
Classes will begin on September 6th. I think that is what I am most nervous about. So much Theology in a room full of men!!!

What a great last few weeks I have had in MN. My amazing friends threw a going away party for me last Thursday and it was a blast. Dinner and Benihana and then an adventurous night out in Uptown. I also had an amazing date with an amazing guy on Monday night where we got to sit in row 13 behind home plate at Target Field. I have had a lot of family time and another fun filled day with them at the MN State Fair tomorrow.
The grand finale of my last days will be spent in Menomonie, WI with my dear friends, the Redmanns, for Adrienne's wedding. I am a bridesmaid so it will be a busy few days!

After my sending service on Sunday my parents and I will be on our way to St. Louie!

It's official!

Well, after years of praying, months of preparing, days of studying and hours of testing, I am finally accepted into the Deaconess program at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. Classes will begin in less than two months!
I received the phone call yesterday afternoon and my family took me out to a great dinner afterwards to "celebrate."
Other than completing the application process, this summer has been spent working retail and spending a great amount of time in my car commuting to work and to see friends in the cities. Now I have the remainder of the summer to prepare for the next chapter of my life and also the biggest change of my life.
My first task is to create a "to-do" list for the remainder of time I have left in MN.
